About Fair Park

Located just five minutes from downtown Dallas, Fair Park is a National Historic Landmark. That’s because it has the largest collection

of 1930s Art Deco architecture in the United States. It also holds the distinction of being the only unaltered pre-1950s World's Fair

site in the nation.

And of course, every autumn, it welcomes millions of people to its signature event – the State Fair of Texas!

The artwork evident throughout the grounds reflects the talents of artists from around the world.

Pompeo Coppini

This Italian sculptor designed the six grand statues inside the Hall of Heroes section of the Hall of State. Also his is a bust of Prospero Bernardi, an Italian immigrant who took part in the Battle of San Jacinto.

Carlo Ciampaglia and Hector Serbaroli

The two Italian painters produced many of the glorious murals found on the exterior of several of the buildings throughout the park.

Raoul Josset and Jose Martin

Born in France, the two sculptors came to the United States and graced Texas with many larger-than-life statutes, some of which you'll

find here at Fair Park.

Hildebert Kliem

This German sculptor is responsible for the Berlin Bear Statue in the Hall of State's south garden. The statue was a gift to Dallas from the people of Berlin during the Cold War era.

Fun things to see and do abound in Fair Park.

The Texas Star

This family owned Ferris wheel is the largest in the Western Hemisphere and the second largest in the world.

Texas Discovery Gardens

A 7.5 acre organic botanic garden featuring native and adapted plants. Inside, the two-story Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House

and Insectarium transports you to a tropical rainforest, complete with hundreds of free-flying butterflies.

Dos Equis Pavilion

The Dallas-area's premier outdoor amphitheater hosts top acts, such as Nicki Minaj, Blink 182, the Zac Brown Band and Brad Paisley.

Cotton Bowl Stadium

Best known for some of the most exciting football games in the world, it is also where Elvis Presley gave an outdoor concert in 1956.

Music Hall at Fair Park

A home for premier theatrical events, including the Dallas Summer Musicals.

We hope you find Fair Park fun and fulfilling!
